Israeli conductor Ada Pelleg, Music director of the Galilee Music Center, is an inspiring and powerful voice on the Israeli music scene, who passionately believes in the power of music as a spiritual vehicle of bringing people of all ethnic groups together
Pelleg has conducted orchestras and choirs in Israel and abroad,among them the Moscow Symphony Orchestra, the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, the Israel Chamber Orchestra, the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra, the Oregon Bach Festival's orchestra and Choir , the Israel Opera Chorus , and the St. Petersburg Symphony Orchestra
Pelleg graduated With Distinction from the Chicago Music College (B.A.in piano performance), and With Honor from the Indiana University School of Music in Bloomington (M.A. in composition and theory)
She has received First Prize in the Molly Margolis Piano Competition in Chicago and was awarded numerous conducting fellowships , among them to the Aspen Music Festival and the Bach Oregon Festival
"Israel Association of women in Management" chose Ada Pelleg as "Woman of the year 2006"
